The fastest way in.
Email is the primary channel for everything — support, billing, privacy and FERPA questions, security reports, press, partnerships. There's no separate form or phone line; support@ is the catch-all, with dedicated inboxes for privacy, security, and DMCA matters listed below.
Helpful detail
What to include.
The more specific the better. If you can, include:
- The email on your Counsolero account — so we can look up the right session and audit-log rows
- What you were trying to do — the page, feature, or workflow you were using
- What actually happened — the error message, unexpected behavior, or the question you have
- When it happened — an approximate timestamp helps us correlate against logs
- Browser and device — useful when the issue is rendering- or input-related
- A screenshot or short screen recording — optional, but often the fastest way to diagnose a visual or interaction bug
Please don't paste sensitive content (passwords, Canvas tokens, full transcripts) — we can investigate from your account email alone. If we need additional detail, we'll ask.
Response time
When you'll hear back.
Counsolero is operated by a small team. We aim to acknowledge every email within two business days and to resolve or follow up substantively within five. Security disclosures and account-access issues jump the queue.
If something is time-sensitive — you can't sign in, a Canvas connection looks compromised, a security issue is publicly exploitable — please say so in the subject line so we can triage immediately.
Privacy & data
Privacy and data requests.
For routine privacy actions you don't need to email us — they're self-service:
- Download your data — use the Export My Data page (described in Section 11 of the Privacy Policy)
- Delete your account — use the Delete My Account page (14-day grace, undo link)
- Disconnect Canvas — use the Canvas Connections page
- AI provider — the in-chat model picker is visible, but every request is currently served by Microsoft Azure OpenAI during the production beta, regardless of the picker selection
For anything outside that scope — formal data-subject requests, legal-hold inquiries, FERPA-specific questions, requests on behalf of a school, appeals of an account action — email [email protected]. That inbox handles GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, and US state-privacy-law rights requests.
For accessibility-related reports or accommodation requests, see our Accessibility Statement; those use the same support@ inbox with "ACCESSIBILITY" in the subject line.
Verification and response timeline
For requests that require verification (access, deletion, correction), we acknowledge receipt within 10 business days and respond substantively within 45 calendar days (with the legal option, where applicable under CCPA/CPRA, to extend by an additional 45 days on notice). Requests that do not require verification — such as opting out of sale or sharing, limiting use of sensitive personal information, or withdrawing consent — are processed without delay.
If you submit a request while logged in to your Counsolero account, we verify your identity through your existing Clerk authentication. If you submit from outside your account, we may ask you to confirm details we already have on file; we do not collect new personal information for verification purposes.
Authorized agents
If you are submitting a request on behalf of another person — for example, as an attorney or family member — please include written authorization from the person whose data is the subject of the request. We may also contact that person directly to confirm authorization, unless the authorized agent is acting under a power of attorney.
Escalation: If you're not satisfied with how we handled your request, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a privacy supervisory authority — in the EU/EEA, your local Data Protection Authority (find yours via edpb.europa.eu); in the UK, the ICO; in California, the California Privacy Protection Agency, the Attorney General, or — for accessibility-related complaints under the Unruh Civil Rights Act — the California Civil Rights Department; in other US states with a privacy statute, your state Attorney General. You may also bring the matter to a court of competent jurisdiction.
Security
Security disclosures.
If you've found a security vulnerability, please report it to [email protected]. That inbox is dedicated to security disclosures and is the fastest way to reach us about a vulnerability. We aim to acknowledge security reports within one business day.
We won't pursue legal action against researchers who follow responsible-disclosure norms — give us a reasonable window to fix the issue before publishing, don't access data beyond what's needed to demonstrate the issue, and don't degrade service for other users. See the User Policy for the full responsible-disclosure expectations.
For automated tools and security researchers, our machine-readable security-disclosure preferences are also available at /.well-known/security.txt per RFC 9116.

DMCA
Copyright takedown.

A valid notice must include: a physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner (or someone authorized to act on their behalf); identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed; identification of the allegedly infringing material and information reasonably sufficient to let us locate it (a URL is ideal); your contact information; a statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized; and a statement under penalty of perjury that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.
Counter-notices may be submitted to the same agent if you believe content was removed in error. We follow the standard § 512(g) counter-notice procedure.
Misrepresentations in a takedown or counter-notice are subject to liability under § 512(f). Repeat infringers will have their accounts terminated under our User Policy.
Copyright Office registration: Counsolero LLC's DMCA Designated Agent registration with the U.S. Copyright Office is currently in progress; this notice will be updated with our directory ID once registration is complete. The agent will process removal notices submitted to the address above regardless of registration status.
NCII removal
Non-consensual intimate imagery removal.
Counsolero LLC complies with the federal Take It Down Act (Pub. L. 119-12), in effect for covered platforms as of May 19, 2026. If you have been depicted in non-consensual intimate imagery — including AI-generated deepfake intimate imagery — that is hosted on, stored in, or transmitted through Counsolero, you (or your authorized representative) may submit a removal request and we will remove the content within 48 hours of receipt.
TAKE IT DOWN Act removal requests
TIDA Removal · Counsolero LLC
2018 N St STE N
Sacramento, CA 95816
United States
[email protected] (subject: TIDA REMOVAL)
A valid removal request must include:
- A physical or electronic signature of the person depicted, or an authorized representative
- Identification of the imagery and its location on Counsolero (a URL is most helpful)
- A statement of good-faith belief that the imagery is non-consensual intimate imagery, or is a digital forgery or deepfake of the person depicted
- Your contact information so we can confirm receipt and follow up
- A statement under penalty of perjury that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are either the person depicted or an authorized representative
48-hour removal commitment. The Take It Down Act requires covered platforms to remove or disable access to identified non-consensual intimate imagery within 48 hours of a valid removal request, and we commit to meeting that deadline. Requests are currently reviewed manually by our team through the email address above — there is no automated intake or ticketing system, so please use the "TIDA REMOVAL" subject line to help us triage your request quickly. The 48-hour clock starts when we receive the request, not when we complete any verification step.
Duplicate removal. Where reasonably feasible, we will manually search for and remove other copies of the same imagery uploaded to Counsolero, so that you do not have to report each re-upload separately. We do not currently run automated image-hashing or duplicate-detection tooling — this is a best-effort manual step, not a guaranteed technical safeguard.
Counter-notices. If you believe content was removed in error — for example, the imagery was not non-consensual or the requesting party was not authorized — you may submit a counter-notice to the same address with: your identification, the content removed, a good-faith belief statement, and a declaration under penalty of perjury.
Misrepresentations in a removal request or counter-notice are subject to federal penalties under the Take It Down Act and may also constitute perjury. See the User Policy for the full NCII prohibition.
Changes
Changes to this page.
Counsolero LLC reviews this Contact page at least annually and updates it when contact channels, designated agents, or response commitments change. Changes that affect how to reach us about a time-sensitive matter — security incidents, privacy requests, NCII removal — are reflected immediately, regardless of the annual cadence.
For questions about this page itself, email [email protected].
